Help! I Bought Books

17 Feb

Guys, I’ve been super stressed out this week, so I dealt with it in the only way I know how: drugs going to a bookstore.

My bounty:

Here’s where you come in: WHAT DO I READ FIRST!

We Need to Talk About Kevin! We Need to Talk About Kevin! We Need to Talk About Kevin!
Did I mention, We Need to Talk About Kevin?

We need to talk about Kevin makes my eyes water, and I don’t even know what it’s about. Best buy some tissues…

How come the books I’ve recommended are not even on this list? I’ve only been regularly talking them up for months.

    1) I vote for Malcolm. Because that’s been sitting around on my own to-read stack for ages. (I’m not far ahead of you; I’ve read maybe a chapter or two of What the Dog Saw. Do you think I’ve made the time to read a single literary thing–um, a single thing, really–since going on Dad detail?)

    2) Enjoying Fran? I love Fran. Not sure whether her comments on sleep are in this volume, but she and I have very similar views on this important matter.

    3) Why do I get the sneaking suspicion that Tricia is the person who recommended Kevin in the first place? If so, does her vote count?

    4) Something sorta kinda cool in the music department (or am I uncool for thinking so?): I went to a taping of the pilot of the singer-songwriter show Musical Chairs last summer. I think they did two shows and posted the one at which I wasn’t, but anyway, here it is.
